There is big news for the youth preparing for government jobs in Jharkhand. Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has released the notification of Combined Graduate Level Examination 2026 for technical and special qualification posts. A total of 615 officials will be appointed through this recruitment. These also include some backlog posts. This opportunity is being considered very special for the candidates who have been waiting for a long time.
This recruitment includes posts in many different departments. 2 posts of Assistant Entomologist, 4 posts of Vector Borne Disease Control Officer, 42 posts of Vector Borne Disease Inspector, total 228 posts of Block Statistics Supervisor and Junior Statistics Assistant, 72 posts of Cattle Technical Officer, 78 posts of Fisheries Supervisor, 145 posts of Auditor, 6 posts of Junior Scientific Assistant, 1 post of Laboratory Assistant Physics and 34 posts of Laboratory Assistant Chemistry will be filled.
What qualification for which post?
Different educational qualifications have been fixed for each post. For Assistant Entomologist, postgraduate degree in Biology (Entomology) is required. For Vector Borne Disease Control Officer and Inspector, one must be a graduate in Science. For the post of Block Statistics Supervisor, Junior Statistics Assistant and Investigator, graduate degree with Mathematics, Economics or Statistics has been sought.
For Cow Technical Officer, a bachelor’s degree in Dairy Technology or Dairy Science is required. For Fisheries Extension Supervisor, a bachelor’s degree in Fisheries Science or Zoology is required. For the post of Auditor, a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Commerce or Statistics will be considered. For Junior Scientific Assistant, a graduate or post-graduate degree in Science, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Medical Science has been sought. Also, in some cases, lab experience is also necessary. For Lab Assistant, one must have a bachelor’s degree with Honors in the relevant subject.

what is the age limit
Talking about the age of the candidates applying, the minimum age has been kept at 21 years. The maximum age for unreserved and EWS category is 35 years. For Extremely Backward and Backward Classes (Male) the limit is 37 years. For women this limit is 38 years. The maximum age for male and female candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe has been kept at 40 years.
how will the exam be
The selection process will be in two stages: preliminary examination and main examination. A total of 120 questions will be asked in the preliminary examination and the time for this will be 2 hours. There will be 30 questions of General Studies, 60 questions of knowledge related to Jharkhand, 10 questions of General Mathematics, 10 questions of General Science and 10 questions of mental ability test.
Where and when to apply?
The process of online application for this recruitment will start from June 1 and will continue till June 30. Candidates will be able to apply by visiting the official website of the Commission jssc.jharkhand.gov.in. If there is any mistake in the application, you will get a chance to correct it between July 5 and July 10.
