National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a very important notice on its official website regarding the re-exam of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2026. Let us tell you that for this re-exam, NTA has shared every important information related to the date, time and process of changing the city of the exam. Let us understand each step point wise.

Exam will be held on 21st June

According to the official notification of NTA, the re-examination of NEET (UG) 2026 will be held on 21 June 2026 (Sunday). The exam time has been fixed from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. Like always, this exam will also be in offline mode. This means that students will have to give their answers through pen and paper (OMR Sheet) only. This examination will be conducted in a total of 13 languages at various centers in the country and abroad, so that students do not face any problem in giving the paper.

‘Window’ starts from May 15, opportunity to change exam city

This time NTA has given big relief to the students. If a student wants to change his/her exam city according to his/her current location or convenience, then he/she can do so. For this, NTA has opened a ‘window’ on the official website. Candidates can update their current address and exam city choice from 15th May to 21st May till 11:50 pm.

How to choose the city of your choice?

According to the notice, students will be able to choose their first choice and second choice examination city while making corrections in the form. NTA will try to allot the students to the city of their choice. However, students who do not want to make any changes in their form do not need to worry. If you do not make any changes, your old exam city will remain valid and you will have to go to the same centre.

No extra fees, just a chance to improve these two things

NTA has made it completely clear in its notice that students will not have to pay any extra fees for this update. This process is completely free. Along with this, the agency has clarified that candidates can make changes in the choice of their ‘present address’ and ‘examination city’ only. Apart from this, no correction of any kind will be allowed in any other information present in the form like name, parents’ name, date of birth or category.

When will the admit card and city slip come?

According to NTA, all other necessary instructions including ‘Exam City Intimation Slip’ (which reveals the city of the exam) and ‘Admit Card’ of the students will be made live on the official website of NTA by June 14, 2026.
