Lakhs of youth of the country dream of serving the country by becoming Agniveer. Under Agniveer Yojana, youth are given military training at an early age, good salary and financial assistance for the future. Candidates selected in Agniveer SSR and MR Recruitment get increasing salary every year, various allowances and a huge severance package on completion of service. This is the reason why Agniveer Yojana is becoming increasingly popular among the youth.
You will get a salary of Rs 30,000 in the first year
For the first year, candidates are given a customized package of Rs 30,000 every month. Of this, approximately Rs 21,000 is received as in-hand salary while Rs 9,000 is deposited in the Agniveer Corps Fund. The government also makes an equal contribution of Rs 9,000 from its side. This creates a huge future fund for the soldiers.
Agniveer salary increases every year
Salary is increased every year under Agniveer Yojana. In the second year, the monthly package becomes Rs 33,000, of which around Rs 23,100 is available in-hand. In the third year it increases to Rs 36,500 while in the fourth year candidates are given a package of up to Rs 40,000 per month. In the fourth year, one gets in-hand salary of around Rs 28,000. This gives the youth an opportunity to become financially strong.
Service fund package of Rs 10.04 lakh will be available after 4 years
Firefighters are given a severance package of approximately Rs 10.04 lakh after completion of service. This amount includes both the candidate’s contribution and the amount deposited by the government. The biggest thing is that this entire package is income tax free. This means that the soldiers do not have to pay any tax on this amount.

Many government allowances are available along with salary.
Apart from basic salary, soldiers are also given risk and hardship allowance, clothing allowance and traveling allowance. The amount of these allowances may vary depending on the duty and posting. This increases the total income. Firefighters get an opportunity to work in a disciplined and safe environment.
No PF and pension facility
Agniveer scheme has been prepared on the basis of service period of 4 years. The soldiers recruited under this scheme do not get facilities like provident fund, gratuity and pension. However, the government says that the training, skills and experience that the youth get during service will prove to be very helpful in their future career.
