Why does eating mango cause stomach upset?

The nature of mango is hot. It contains very high amount of fiber and natural sugar. When we eat too many mangoes at once, it puts pressure on the digestive system. Apart from this, nowadays chemicals like calcium carbide are used to ripen mangoes which can cause stomach infections and cramps.

Right time to eat- Eat mango in the morning breakfast or in the afternoon lunch. Avoid eating mango just before sleeping at night, as it can impair digestion and also lead to weight gain.

Combination with milk or curd- According to Ayurveda, sour mango should not be mixed with milk. However, fully ripe and sweet mangoes can be consumed in a shake, which cools the body.
