A big development has come to light regarding the NEET-UG 2026 examination, which is considered the most important for millions of students across the country. After allegations of paper leak, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided to cancel this examination. NTA Director General Abhishek Singh has clearly said that no playing with the future of the students will be allowed. The investigation of the case has now been handed over to CBI and strict action will be taken against the culprits.
NTA Director General Abhishek Singh said that on the night of May 7, NTA received important information through a whistleblower. The person giving the information said that before the exam, he had received some questions on WhatsApp, which were similar to the real question paper. As soon as this information was received, NTA immediately started investigation. Investigation found that some questions were indeed matching the original question paper.
Another shocking thing came to light during the investigation. It was revealed that on May 1 and 2, the PDF was present in the mobile phones of some people, which had the same questions which were asked in the examination. This was against the ‘zero tolerance’ policy of NTA. Officials believe that if immediate action was not taken on this, the future of lakhs of students who had prepared hard could have been affected.
The accused will go to jail
For this reason, NTA took a big step and canceled the NEET-UG 2026 exam. Abhishek Singh said that our first duty is to protect the future of the students. That’s why we have taken this tough decision. Now CBI will investigate this entire matter. Whoever the accused are, they will be caught and sent to jail.
No extra fees will be charged
Giving relief to the students, NTA has also announced that the examination will be conducted again and it will be conducted in a completely fair manner. The biggest thing is that no additional fees will be charged from the students for this re-examination. Not only this, the fees charged for the first examination will also be refunded.

This decision has brought great relief to those students who were troubled by this incident. Many students and parents had expressed concern on social media that if the paper leak is true, then injustice will be done to those studying honestly. For this reason the step was taken
Abhishek Singh said that when we investigated, we found that some people actually already had some questions. This is against the sanctity of the examination. Therefore, we took this step in the interest of the students. He also assured that the next examination will be conducted with complete security and transparency.
CBI investigation will reveal
After handing over the investigation to CBI, it is now expected that this entire network will be exposed. Who were the people involved in this, how the questions got out, to whom the PDF reached, all these things will be investigated in depth. Strict action will be taken against the culprits so that such incidents do not happen again in future.
