An important step has been taken towards strengthening higher education in Uttar Pradesh. Kendriya Hindi Sansthan has received No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Central Government to start the process of becoming a university. With this, students are expected to get better education and new opportunities in the coming times.
Agra-based Central Hindi Institute has been playing an important role in the field of Hindi language, literature and research for a long time. Now the process of giving it the status of university has started. After getting NOC, the institute will have to meet the prescribed standards, after which it can officially get the status of university.
Necessary conditions will have to be fulfilled in three years
UGC has directed the institute to fulfill all the necessary conditions within three years. This includes enhancing the academic quality, improving the administrative system, appointing qualified faculty and strengthening the infrastructure. Apart from this, formal agreements will also be completed with the Central Government and UGC. For this change, earlier an expert committee was formed, which prepared a proposal to convert the institute into a university. In this proposal, the achievements and future possibilities of the institute were laid out in detail. On the basis of this, UGC was satisfied and gave permission to proceed further.

What will be the benefits after becoming a university?
After getting the status of university, the institute will get many rights. It will be capable of awarding degrees, designing courses and operating the examination system at its own level. With this, modern and employment-related courses can be made available to the students. This change will also strengthen research work. The institute will be able to get direct government funding and research projects. This will promote PhD and high level research. Besides, opportunities for collaboration with other national and international institutions will also increase.

Along with the process of becoming a university, the infrastructure of the institute will also be modernized. New labs, improved libraries, digital resources and advanced campus facilities will improve the learning experience of the students. The benefits of this initiative will also be seen at the local level. The youth of the area will be able to get high quality education near them.
