CBSE 10th Result 2026: CBSE has declared the results of 10th board exam 2026. This time’s result was special in many ways. Because not only was there an improvement in the passing percentage, but there was also a change in the way the examination and results were released. With this result the wait of more than 25 lakh students is now over. This time the board has released the results directly on the website without holding any press conference. In such a situation, let us now tell you how the CBSE board results were this year, how many students won and how different this time’s result is from the last five years.
How was the result this time, how many students passed?
According to the board data, this year 24.71 lakh students had appeared for the examination, out of which 23.16 lakh students were successful. The overall passing percentage has been recorded at 93.70 percent, which is slightly higher than 93.66 percent last year in 2025. That means this time a slight improvement of 0.04 percent was seen in the result. There were about 1.55 lakh students who could not pass the examination.
Once again girls won in board exams
Like every year, this time too the performance of girls was better in the board exams. The passing percentage of girls was 94.99 percent, while that of boys was 92.69 percent. Whereas the pass percentage of transgender students was 87.50 percent. Apart from this, a large number of students have achieved high marks this year. According to the board, 2,21,574 students have secured 90 percent or more marks. Whereas 55,368 students have secured more than 95 percent marks, which shows the top performance this year.

Which regions of the country had the best performance?
Trivandrum and Vijayawada led in region wise performance, where the pass percentage was recorded at 99.79 percent. After this, Chennai came next. The total pass percentage of Delhi region was more than 97 percent, while the percentage of Guwahati was the lowest this time. Talking about institutes, the result of Kendriya Vidyalaya was the best, where 99.57 percent students passed, apart from this, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya also stood ahead with more than 99 percent result. The performance of private and government schools also remained above 90 percent.
How different is the result from the last 5 years?
If we look at the trend of the last 5 years, the CBSE result remains around 93 to 94 percent. The result of CBSE 10th board in 2025 was 93.66 percent. Whereas in 2024 this result was 93.60 percent. Apart from this, the result in 2023 was 93.12 percent, in 2022 the result was 94.40 percent and in 2021 it was 99.04 percent. In 2021, a separate evaluation was conducted due to Corona, due to which the result percentage had increased significantly.
