How Much Cheese Is In Cheeslings: Do you also like to serve Monaco cheeselings with tea or in children’s tiffin? If yes, then this news may surprise you. A viral video has made a big revelation about this snack which has been loved in Indian homes for years. Health influencer Revanth Himatsingka, popularly known as Foodfarm, has revealed the truth inside this product. Let us tell you about it.
Questions raised in the video
The biggest question raised in the video is regarding the name of this snack. The name Cheezlings sounds like it will contain a good amount of cheese, but the ingredients given on the packet tell a different story. According to the label, the amount of cheese in it is only 1.9 percent. That means, the taste for which people buy it is present in it in very small quantities. An interesting method was adopted in the video to explain this. All the ingredients were shown in a transparent jar according to their proportions, in which flour and oil were seen filling almost the entire jar, while the quantity of cheese was so small that it was barely visible.

What happens in this?
If there is so little in it, then the question arises what is left in it? In the video, Rewant Himatsingka tells that actually a major part of this snack is made from refined wheat flour i.e. maida. According to chriskresser’s report, flour does not contain fiber and essential nutrients, due to which it can rapidly increase the sugar level in the body and cause weight gain. Apart from this, palm oil is used in it, which is rich in saturated fat. Excessive consumption of it for a long time can increase the risk of heart related diseases. Not only this, this snack also contains invert sugar syrup and a large amount of salt. This combination makes it delicious and addictive, making one want to eat it again and again.
These things are also used
In the video, it is claimed that it contains sugar and turmeric. Many types of chemicals are also added to it to maintain the taste and texture. In the video, this product has been given only 1.8 out of 5 in TruthIn rating, which places it in the category of “ultra-processed food”. This is a matter of concern especially for children, because excessive consumption of such processed snacks can affect their health.
