London-based organization QS Quacquarelli Symonds releases this ranking every year. This time’s edition was quite special, because in it about 1900 universities and more than 21 thousand courses from more than 100 countries were assessed.

The performance of IIM Ahmedabad is in the news this time. Along with business and management studies, it has also got 21st rank in marketing. The special thing is that this is the first such achievement of India in the field of marketing, when an institute has made such a high place at the global level.

In this ranking, institutes like IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and JNU have also made their place in the top 50. All these institutions have been the identity of the country’s education for a long time, but now their shine is clearly visible at the international level also.

If we talk about this time’s performance, IIT Delhi has done the best work. This institute has made it to the top 50 in six subjects simultaneously. Reaching the top 50 in Chemical Engineering for the first time, a good position in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and the best performance in a decade in Mechanical Engineering. Apart from this, it has also secured 45th position in Computer Science.
