There are continuous changes taking place in the field of education, and now the focus is not limited to studies only. Mental health and proper guidance of children is also considered equally important. Keeping this in mind, CBSE has taken a new step. Now a special online examination is being started for the counselors working in schools, so that their qualifications and working style can be tested in a better way.
What is the new examination system?
CBSE has started “Online Remote Invigilation Examination”. This means that this examination will be online and there will be no need to go to any examination center. Counselors can appear in this examination from their home or school itself. Modern technology will be used in this entire process so that the examination can be conducted in a fair and transparent manner.
For whom is this exam?
This examination is especially for those teachers and staff who do counseling work in schools. These are the same people who help children by understanding their mental problems, stress, study pressure and behavioral problems. CBSE wants such counselors to be well trained and qualified, so that they can guide children in the right direction.
How many people will be involved?
Under this initiative, CBSE is planning to assess a large number of counselors. It is estimated that around 10,000 counselors can appear in this examination. This will ensure that the quality of counselors working in schools across the country remains the same.
What will be checked?
In this examination, not only the knowledge related to books will be examined, but an attempt will be made to understand how well the counselors understand the problems of the children. In this, their thinking ability, problem solving method, behavior with children and ability to take right decisions in difficult situations will also be tested.

What will be the role of AI?
Artificial Intelligence (AI) will be used extensively in this examination. With the help of AI, monitoring will be done during the examination so that no irregularities or copying takes place. This technology will also ensure that all candidates are evaluated in the same manner. This will further increase the credibility of the examination.
Important instructions for schools
CBSE has instructed all the schools to keep the information related to their counselors properly updated. For this, the schools will have to update the data on their official portal, so that eligible counselors can be included in this examination. Efforts are being made to keep this process completely systematic and transparent.
