UPSC has issued notification for CMS exam, know when you can apply?

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the official notification for Combined Medical Service (CMS) Examination 2026 for medical graduate students who dream of becoming government doctors in the country. With this notification, the online application process for the examination has also started. Candidates who want to appear in this examination can apply now by visiting the official website of UPSC.

The last date to apply for the candidates has been kept as 31 March 2026. This examination is a big opportunity for those youth who have completed medical studies and dream of becoming doctors in government services. Through CMS examination, doctors are appointed in various central departments and services of the country. Every year thousands of medical graduates take part in this examination and this time too it is expected that a large number of candidates will apply.

Who can apply?

There are some main qualifications to apply for this exam. In which the candidate should have MBBS degree from a recognized university. Final year MBBS students can also apply. The maximum age of the candidate should be 32 years, however, age relaxation will be given to reserved category (SC/ST/OBC) candidates. These are the necessary conditions to appear in this examination, hence candidates should first ensure their eligibility and age.

When can you apply?

The last date to apply online for UPSC CMS 2026 exam is 31 March 2026. This means that candidates can submit their applications by visiting the official website of UPSC till this date only.

Candidates will have to deposit the fees while applying for CMS exam. General and unreserved category Rs 200, women candidates, SC/ST and physically handicapped candidates are completely exempted from the fee. In such a situation, many candidates will not have to bear the burden of fees.

1. Application for UPSC CMS exam can be made online. For this, first visit the official website of UPSC. upsc.gov.in Go to.

2. The registration link related to CMS exam will appear on the homepage.

3. Click on that link and fill all the requested information carefully.

4. Upload scanned copies of required documents.

5. Pay the fees, if applicable. At last submit the application form and take a print out of it.
