There is good news for the youth preparing for government jobs. Surat Municipal Corporation has issued big recruitment in different departments. A total of 1924 posts will be filled under this recruitment drive. These include many posts like Clerk, Engineer, Medical Officer, Staff Nurse, Driver, Technical Assistant. Interested candidates will be able to apply online from April 1.

Through this recruitment, about 45 different categories of posts will be filled in Surat Municipal Corporation. These include posts like Clerk, Driver, Staff Nurse, Medical Officer, Engineer, Technical Assistant, Lab Technician, Pharmacist and Marshal. Apart from this, some technical posts related to Zoo and Aquarium have also been included in this recruitment. Overall, this recruitment is being done for different departments, due to which a large number of candidates can get a chance to get a government job.
age limit
To apply for these posts, the age of the candidates has been fixed at 18 years and maximum age is 33 to 45 years as per the posts. Age relaxation will also be given to reserved category candidates as per government rules.

What qualification is required?
The eligibility to apply for this recruitment has also been kept different according to the post. For some posts, 10th or 12th pass candidates can apply, while for technical and medical posts, diploma, graduation, engineering or medical related degree will be required.
selection process
Candidates will be selected for these posts in several stages. First of all the candidates will have to give written examination. Candidates who pass this examination will be called for the next stage. According to the post, there may be further skill test, practical test or physical test. After this, document verification and medical test of the candidates will be done, on the basis of which the final selection will be made.
application fee
To apply for this recruitment, candidates will have to pay fees as per their category. General and OBC (creamy layer) category candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 500. Whereas for OBC (non-creamy layer), SC and ST category candidates, this fee has been kept at Rs 250. Whereas PWD and ex-servicemen candidates are exempted from the application fee.
