Today she is handling the responsibility of the economic policies of the country. Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar has done PhD in International Relations from JNU. Today he strongly presents India’s foreign policy to the world. This shows that JNU education gives global thinking and deep understanding to the students.
JNU has a deep connection with student politics. Sitaram Yechury, who was the general secretary of CPI(M) for a long time, was a student of JNU and had also been the student union president. He died in 2024. D. Raja, General Secretary of the Communist Party of India (CPI), also studied at JNU and developed his understanding of politics from here, these leaders gave direction to Indian politics for decades.
