The name of India’s fast bowler Mohammad Siraj is not interested in any introduction in the cricket world today. But behind his success, not only hard work and talent, but the story of a family who trusted dreams, even though the situation was very simple.
Siraj was born on 13 March 1994 in an ordinary family in Khaja Nagar area of Hyderabad. Father Mirza Mohammad Gaus used to drive auto rickshaw and mother Shabana Begum is a housewife. Elder brother Mohammad Ismail is an engineer. This family was financially limited, but had big dreams in the heart.
Siraj’s father Mirza Mohammad Gaus may not have played cricket, but he knew how important hard work and sacrifice is for dreams. They would leave the auto in the morning, after the hard work of the whole day, whatever the earnings would have been spent on the son’s cricket journey. Luck gave a big blow in 2020. His father died at the age of 53 due to lung disease.
Mother’s courage
Mohammad Siraj’s mother Shabana Begum handled the family in limited means. It was not easy to run a house in auto’s earnings and meet the son’s cricket expenses, but he never allowed Siraj to get away from his dreams. His blessings and courage were always with Siraj.

Brother showed the path of career
Fast bowler Siraj is elder brother Mohammad Ismail engineer, but he chose the path for his younger brother which was the most difficult. When many people advised Siraj to adopt a “safe” career, Ismail inspired him to focus on cricket completely.
Who is at the forefront of studies?
According to media reports, due to focus on cricket and some other reasons, Siraj could not study further from intermediate. Talking in the family, Siraj’s elder brother Mohammad Ismail is the most educated, who is an engineer.
