Smita Sabharwal was appointed Secretary of the Department of Youth Development, Tourism and Culture by the Telangana Government on 11 November 2024.
She is one of the few women officers in the state who have made their mark not only in policy-making but also at the ground level. According to reports, currently he is getting salary under level 15.
At present the monthly basic salary of Smita Sabharwal is Rs 1,82,200. Apart from this, they are also getting many other allowances like dearness allowance, traveling allowance, housing facility etc. The salary of IAS officers is decided on the basis of the pay commission prescribed by the Central Government.
According to reports, Smita Sabharwal’s current salary is Rs 1,82,200. Whereas after the implementation of 8th Pay Commission, this salary can increase up to Rs 2 lakh 18 thousand 400.
Smita Sabharwal is an officer of IAS batch 2001 and is counted among the most inspirational women officers of the country. She often shares her work, travels and policy views on social media.
He worked as a collector in many districts of Telangana and set an example of his efficiency everywhere. Smita Sabharwal, popularly known as “People’s Officer”, is known for communicating directly with the general public.
