To promote the careers of youth, UNESCO has provided international internship opportunity for postgraduate and PhD students, in which the selected candidates will get practical experience at the global level. UNESCO has announced a special internship program. During this internship, the selected youth will get international level work experience and will be able to strengthen their academic and technical knowledge practically. This program is especially for postgraduate and PhD level students.
Interested and eligible candidates can apply by visiting the official website careers.unesco.org by 31 December 2025. The objective of this internship is to give the youth professional experience in the global workplace and further develop their skills.
Who can apply?
Candidates applying for this internship must have a Master’s degree, PhD or its equivalent higher education program. If you have recently completed a Master’s or PhD in the last 12 months, you can still apply.
Candidates holding only graduate level degrees can apply if they are enrolled in a postgraduate program or have completed graduation within the last 12 months prior to the commencement of the internship. Candidates applying for secretarial/assistant or technical/professional positions must be pursuing their studies at the relevant school or technical institute and must be in the final year.
This is the necessary eligibility
For UNESCO internship, candidates must have a good command of English or French, while for secretarial positions at the headquarters, knowledge of both languages may be necessary. Along with this, proficiency in office software like MS Office, Google Workspace is necessary and the ability to work with a team in an international environment is also required. It is mandatory for the candidate to have good interpersonal and communication skills and the minimum age for application has been fixed at 20 years.
