YouTube first announced the gifting system in November 2024 and is now being transported to more creators in 2025. Under this feature, viewers can send gifts during live stream which are converted into rubies.

The creator earns 1 dollar on every 100 rubies. The special thing is that gifts can be redeemed only when the creator is doing live stream in vertical format. This feature can be turned on from the Earn tab of YouTube Studio.

The biggest feature of the gift goals feature is that now creators can set the target during their live stream and complete it with the gifts of the fans. Not only this, they can also tell their audience how they will celebrate when the goal is completed. Earlier this option was only for super chats but now it has also become available for gifts. However, the creators who turned on this feature will not get access to super stickers.

At the same time, the method of gifting for the audience is also easy. They can buy a bundle called jewels, which cost from $ 0.99 to $ 49.99. Once you take a bundle, it can be used in sending gifts several times during a live stream. Along with this, the audience also gets a set of animated gifts, although there is no customization option in it.

YouTube is also offering 50% bonus of up to $ 1,000 on the earnings earned from the first three months to make this feature even more attractive. It is clear that the new Gift Goals feature of YouTube is not only a means to increase earnings but is also a way to create better engagement between the creators and the audience. Like Tiktok, now YouTube is going to open a new dimension for creators with live gifting, which can bring a big change in the content industry in the coming time.
