Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has finally released the notification of MP State Eligibility Test (MP SET) 2025. Thousands of candidates from the state were waiting for this examination. MP SET exam is very important for those candidates who dream of becoming Assistant Professors in the colleges and universities of the state.
Registration dates and website
The registration process for MP SET 2025 will start from 25 October 2025 and candidates will be able to apply till 20 November 2025. Application will be made through online mode only. Interested candidates will have to apply by visiting the official website of Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission, mppsc.mp.gov.in. Before applying, candidates are advised to read the official notification issued on the website carefully, so that no mistake is made.
Exam objective and language options
MP SET examination is conducted for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Professor under Higher Education Department. Through this examination, qualified candidates get the opportunity of professorship in various colleges of the state. The exam will be conducted in two languages Hindi and English, and candidates can choose the language of their choice while applying.
This time the examination will be conducted for a total of 31 subjects, which include Arts, Science, Commerce, Social Sciences and Technical subjects.
eligibility requirements
Candidates applying for MP SET 2025 must have a post graduate degree (like MA, M.Sc, M.Com etc.) from a recognized university. Minimum marks required for General, OBC (Creamy Layer) and EWS candidates is 55%. Whereas SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer) and PwD candidates have been given relaxation with 50% marks. Apart from this, the candidates who have completed Ph.D. before 19 September 1991. had completed the exam, they will be given additional relief of 5% marks. PG final year students can also apply for this examination.
age limit
No age limit has been set for MP SET 2025 exam. That means any candidate, who fulfills the educational qualification, can appear in this examination. This rule is especially a relief for those people who want to progress in their career even after completing their studies.
application fee
General category candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 500 (which includes Rs 40 portal fee). At the same time, some concession has been given in fees for reserve category. Fees can be paid online through debit card, credit card or net banking.
When will the exam be held?
MP SET 2025 exam will be conducted on 11 January 2026. There will be two papers in the examination, Paper 1 and Paper 2, both of which will be objective type (multiple choice questions). Both the papers will be held in the same session, that is, there will be no gap in between.
