Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has once again come to the center of discussion. Manju Sharma, wife of famous poet and former Aam Aadmi Party leader Dr. Kumar Vishwas, has resigned as a member of the Commission. His move has come out after the recent strict comments of Rajasthan High Court. Manju Sharma sent his resignation directly to the Governor. In her letter, she clearly wrote that she is leaving the post voluntarily.
His term was till 14 October 2026 and he was working in the post since 15 October 2020. But recently, the way the functioning and recruitment process of the Commission was questioned, after that he decided to leave the post taking moral responsibility. Manju Sharma, a resident of Ajmer, has done his PhD from Rajasthan University. His identity in the education world is deep. He passed the college lecturer examination and served as a professor in a college in Rajasthan. After this he was appointed as a member of RPSC.
How much is salary?
The salary of RPSC members and president is scheduled. RPSC president is given about 2 lakh 25 thousand rupees month salary. While about 2 lakh 5 thousand rupees are provided to RPSC members. Including DA, HRA and other allowances. Members also get facility like medical insurance and pension.

What is the matter?
Recently, the Rajasthan High Court canceled the Sub-Inspector Recruitment Examination. The court raised serious questions on the transparency of the recruitment process and made strict comments about the role of the then Chairman and members of the Commission. Taking cognizance of this matter, the court also decided to listen to it as a PIL.
This recruitment was done during Manju Sharma’s tenure, so questions were also being raised on him. In such an environment, he chose the way to withdraw from the post. Manju Sharma’s resignation has once again made RPSC into the headlines. Questions have been raised about the recruitment processes on the Commission many times before. The recent High Court comments have deepened the controversy.
