Patanjali, an organization that has established its dominance in the Indian FMCG sector, has once again certified its quality and purity on the global platform. A detailed scientific research conducted on Patanjali honey has been published in the prestigious research journal ‘Applied Food Research’ of the world famous Elsevier publication. This achievement is a matter of pride not only for the institute but for the food industry of the entire country.
A big victory against adulteration
On this occasion, Acharya Balkrishna said that the main objective of Patanjali is to save the country from the poison of adulteration. He emphasized that Indian products have often been viewed with suspicion at the international level, but this research has proved that world-class research and pure products are possible in India too.
Honey passes rigorous scientific tests
According to Dr. Anurag Varshney, Chief Scientist of Patanjali, 25 different batches of Patanjali honey were tested in this study. For this, advanced scientific techniques like HPLC, HPTLC and UHPLC were used. The main findings of the research are as follows:
- All batches have fully met the standards set by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).
- No extraneous sugar, synthetic syrup or harmful chemical residues were found in honey.
- Remarkable uniformity in quality was observed between different batches, which reflects the stringent control system of the institute.

Acharya Balkrishna clarified that from raw material sourcing to final packaging, Patanjali’s supply chain is extremely transparent and secure. The institute has resolved that in the future also they will continue research in accordance with international standards so that the general public continues to get scientifically proven and safe products.
