If you are dreaming of working in railway, then this news is for you. Large recruitment has been taken out by Railway Recruitment Cell, Western Railway. This recruitment will be done under Apprenticeship. Official notifications have been issued for this and the application process is also going to start soon.
The process of application for this apprentice recruitment of Western Railway will start from 30 August 2025. Interested candidates can apply through the official website. The last date to apply has been kept on 29 September 2025. That is, you will have a month’s time, but do not wait till the last time.
How many posts are recruited?
- General Class – 1150 posts
- Scheduled Castes (SC) – 433 posts
- Scheduled Tribes (ST) – 215 posts
- Other Backward Classes (OBC) – 778 posts
- Economically weaker section (EWS) – 289 posts
What will be the age limit?
The minimum age of candidates applying should be 15 years and maximum age should be 24 years. That is, candidates above 24 years will not be able to apply. However, according to the rules of the government, age limit will also be given. There will be 5 years for SC/ST category, 3 years for OBC candidates and 10 years for disabled candidates.
What should be educational qualification?
The candidate has passed the 10th and 12th examinations from a recognized board with at least 50% marks. Along with this, the candidate must have a National Trade Certificate from the NCVT/SCVT recognized institute.
How will the selection process be?
There will be no written examination in this recruitment. Candidates will be selected completely on the basis of marks obtained in their 10th and 12th. That is, merit list will be prepared and selection will be done on the basis of that.
How much will be fees?
To apply, candidates will also have to pay the application fee. General, OBC and EWS candidates will have to pay Rs 100 application fee and Rs 41 processing fee. SC/ST candidates have been exempted from the application fee, but they will also have to pay a processing fee of Rs 41.
