There is great news for the soldiers who dream of becoming officers in the Indian Army. The Army has made changes in its training system, so that now graduate soldiers will not have to wait for a long time. This decision has been taken especially in view of the shortage of officers in the army.
What changed in ACC Entry Scheme?
Now a big change has been made under the Army Cadet College Entry Scheme. Earlier, to become officers through this scheme, soldiers had to complete a long training process. It involved 3 years of study followed by 1 year of training. But now this process has been shortened. According to the new rules, the youth who are already graduates will no longer have to study for 3 years. They will be given direct training, so that they can become officers in about 1.5 years. This will save a lot of time and deserving soldiers will get a chance sooner.
Which soldiers will get the benefit?
This change has been made especially for graduate soldiers. This means that the soldiers who have completed their studies will no longer have to go through long studies like before.
However, for the soldiers who have passed only 12th, the rules will remain the same. They will still have to complete 3 years of study in ACC and then 1 year of training. That means it will take a total of 4 years for them.

Difference between the rules before and now
Earlier, the process was the same for both graduate and 12th pass soldiers. Everyone had to study for 3 years in ACC located in Dehradun and after that they had to take 1 year training in the Indian Military Academy. But now this difference has been made clear. Graduate soldiers will get the opportunity of direct training, which will enable their career to progress faster. This change is a step taken towards making the army system more flexible and modern.
The soldiers will get the biggest benefit of this new rule. Now they will not have to wait for a long time and they will be able to progress in their career quickly. Apart from this, this decision will also boost the morale of the soldiers. They will feel that their education and hard work is being appreciated and they are getting the right opportunity to move forward.
