Airtel down: After a large -scale problem a few days ago, the Airtel network has come to a standstill once again. This time users of many big cities including Bengaluru were affected the most. According to the website Dowdatector, which monitored technical disturbances, the number of complaints suddenly increased at around 12:15 pm and a total of 7,109 reports were filed. Apart from Bengaluru, people from Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and other cities also complained about the closure of the network.
Company statement
The statement issued by Airtel said that this problem has come due to temporary connectivity barrier and it will be repaired in an hour. The company wrote in its message, “You are sorry for the inconvenience. This problem is due to temporary connectivity problem and hopefully it will be cured in one hour. After that please restart your phone so that the service can be restored.”

After the network was closed, people expressed their displeasure on social media. One user wrote, “Airtel internet in Bengaluru is closed today? Someone else is facing it? At the same time, another user complained that “Airtel Postpaid has been closed for the last 6 hours. Neither call, nor internet is running. The company does not see any accountability and the customer care is not able to talk. @Traai should take action on it.”
A big outage came a few days ago
Significantly, on August 18, mobile networks were affected across the country, in which Airtel users had the highest impact. According to the dowdatector, more than 3,600 complaints were filed at 4:30 pm, while in normal condition this figure is less than 15. By 10:30 pm, the complaints had come down from 150 by 10:30 pm.
