Neha Singh is a faculty member of Communication at the School of Management, Galgotias University. He joined this university in November 2023. While presenting the Robodog project on behalf of the university at the AI Impact Summit, she came forward and talked to the media. Controversy started regarding his statement given during this time.

Neha Singh has done MBA from Devi Ahilya University. Before this he completed B.Com from Allahabad University. Questions were raised about the origin of the robodog shown at the summit. Some people claimed that it was said to be indigenous i.e. developed in India, whereas there was no clarity regarding its technical information. After this, Galgotias University issued a statement saying that the confusion was due to not maintaining the information properly. The university also said that the representatives who were explaining the project were not fully aware of its technical details.

Talking to news agency PTI, Neha Singh said that her intention was not to call Robodog indigenous. He admitted that maybe the matter could not be brought out in the right way. She said that she was speaking very excitedly and quickly, due to which the message could not be conveyed clearly. She also said that if her statement has created any kind of confusion then she takes responsibility for it.
